Waste Recycling

Countrystyle operates a waste transfer station where all of the waste generated by our skip hire operations is sorted for recycling. We have recently been granted permission by KCC for the construction and subsequent operation of a full Materials Recovery Facility – commonly known as a MRF (actually pronounced MERF!). This MRF has been designed specifically to process the kinds of materials that we produce on a daily basis. Typical waste suitable for processing through our MRF comprises the following materials:-

• Construction & Demolition waste
• Industrial & Commercial waste
• Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment
• Plastics, Glass & Wood
• Plasterboard Waste
• Food Waste

This facility is the only one of its kind in North Kent and has a capacity of processing between 35 & 40,000 tonnes of waste per annum.
