WEEE Recycling

WEEE RecyclingEver increasing amounts of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) are being produced every year within the United Kingdom. This is due to the ongoing push for new and improved Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE). The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) was introduced in 2007. It aims to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.

Countrystyle Group offer a WEEE collection service and ensure that material is recycled legally and in an environmentally responsible manner. When required we can supply suitable containers at customer premises, although collections of loose WEEE can also be arranged.

The Group offers WEEE recycling of all categories for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. These are:

  • Large household appliances
  • Small household appliances
  • IT and telecommunications equipment
  • Consumer equipment
  • Lighting equipment
  • Electrical and electronic tools
  • Toys, leisure and sports equipment
  • Medical devices
  • Monitoring and control equipment
  • Automatic dispensers
