Pioneering new plasterboard line achieves near 100% recycling rate

Recycling specialists Countrystyle Group have recently completed the bespoke build programme for an advanced plasterboard recycling line at their Sittingbourne, Kent facility. The build was completed in September and the plant is now fully operational, reprocessing around 500 tonnes of scrap board each week to produce two reusable end products. Countrystyle has invested heavily in the new line, which enables almost 100% of the waste board to be reclaimed. The line has also enhanced MRF operation

Baroness Hanham visits Countrystyle Recycling

Baroness Hanham, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Communities and Local Government, has paid a visit to Countrystyle Group’s Ridham facility near Sittingbourne, to see first-hand the wide range of materials recycled there. Countrystyle specialise in reclaiming waste to create new products, thereby minimising waste sent to landfill.

Countrystyle compost gives Iwade allotments a welcome boost

Plot holders at Iwade Allotments Association welcomed in some large deliveries of Countrystyle compost last month, donated by the company to give the clay-rich soil a fertility boost. Countrystyle operate a large-scale compost processing facility at Ridham Dock near Iwade, using advanced technology to turn thousands of tons of Medway’s food and green waste into a nutritional, peat-free soil improver.

The company is backing the alliance’s major TV advertising campaign, due to run on eight TV stations from Boxing Day 2011 through to 22 January in the New Year.

Leeds Castle & Countrystyle partner in sustainability drive

Management and staff at Leeds Castle have been making great progress in developing the venue’s waste management procedures, with a view to increasing recycling rates and minimising the amount of waste sent to landfill as a result of the castle’s day-to-day operations. Tarkett's landfill costs go through the floor

Internationally renowned flooring manufacturer Tarkett have pushed their landfill rates down to almost zero since forging a successful recycling partnership with Countrystyle in January 2011. Additionally they have been able to report that Tarkett Flooring is on target to achieve a saving of almost €40,000 for the full year, as a result of this recycling initiative.
