Articulated Transport 

Countrystyle operate a number of Scania tractor units based on articulated operations. The vehicles are 6x2 rear lift units with 420 and 480 bhp engines. The latest additions to the fleet which arrive at the beginning of January 2008 have 480bhp engines and Scania's own automated 14 speed manual transmission, utilising clutchless changes and electronic gear selection. All vehicles are specified with air conditioning, sleeper cabs and cd players for driver comfort. The vehicles can travel long distances and the drivers are fully aware of the fact that work may take them away for long periods of time or even abroad, as the vehicles are spec'd for continental operations.

Services avilable include dry freight haulage using curtainsided trailers, clean water deliveries with stainless steel tanks, effluent haulage with vacuum tankers, plant and machinery movements with low loader combinations and bulk material deliveries with walking floor combinations.

The walking floor trailers are the latest innovation to join the fleet are highly specified to offer huge flexibility in operations. The trailers can not only haul bulk and dense volume loads but have the ability to carry palletised woodchip, paper or glass and the material is then 'walked' out avoiding the danger of tipping a large combination. The floors of these sided trailers can be reversed to allow for palletised goods to be 'walked' onto the trailer.
