State of the art facility at Ridham 

Our new Recycling Organics facility at Ridham Dock Road is now fully operational and capable of processing annually 35,000 tonnes of both domestic and commercial organic waste. The operation is fully compliant with EU composting standards and has Category 3 By-Products and State Vetinary approval. Countrystyle Composting Ltd and associated companies have many years experience in dealing with the application of organic waste and recycled products to land, including water treatment bio-solids, paper sludge's and compost products.

Fully enclosed IVCS 

The In Vessel Composting System (IVCS) at Ridham is a fully enclosed operation, combining an organics waste reception-processing building with six IVC bunkers. Each bunker is equipped with a ventilated floor and wireless data logging probes relaying constant data back to the central control computer. This information is necessary for the management and controlling of oxygen, heat and moisture over the period of the pasteurisation cycle, enhancing the microbial activity, accelerating the temperatures to 70^oC and maintaining this over the appropriate time period, confirming weed seed destruction and complying to EU composting standards. 

Once the materials have achieved the appropriate time/temperatures, removal from the bunkers will commence. The now pasteurised material will be uplifted out to the maturation cycle and further active aeration will continue for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. During the maturation cycle comprehensive laboratory testing will provide a chemical analysis report on all compost products prior to dispatch from the composting operation.

High quality products are available with the Ridham composting operation, manufacturing and blending a range of peat free, sustainable, green compost products, biologically active and suitable for agriculture, landscaping, parks-gardens and orchards. Products support the growth of micro-organisms, provide soil conditioning, improve soil structure, mulch, enhance heavy-light soils, suppress weeds, retain moisture, support turf establishment, restor brownfield land, renovate sports pitches and assist in a more efficient plant uptake of nutrients.
